Mental Health Supported Accommodation for Men – The Lodge

Are you a male aged 18-65 years old with mental illness with or without alcohol & drug issues?

Are you homeless or at risk of homelessness? Is your mental illness impacting your ability to live independently?


The Lodge Program is a residential service providing supported accommodation for men. The Lodge is staffed from daily from 8am – 8pm to assist residents to:

  • Better manage your medication
  • Develop independently living skills such as personal care, meal preparation, health and nutrition, cleaning, and social inclusion
  • Participate in social and recreational activities
  • Maintain contact with family, friends and significant others
  • Develop links with health, welfare and other services
  • Support with housing and advocacy


The Lodge also provides a respite service where you can stay for a short term while you stabilise your mental health in a safe, supported environment.

Youth Mental Health Services

STEPS – Supporting Young People Through Prevention and Intervention

Are you a young person, or parent of a young person aged 13-18?

Are you experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of mental illness and require support but not hospitalisation?

Are you about to exit hospital but not quite ready to return home?

CatholicCare STEPS is a voluntary Mental Health residential program providing support to young people for a period of up to 3 months. The program is staffed 24/7 by CatholicCare’s Youth Mental Health Support Workers and a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Clinical Worker during business hours.

Young people participate in a range of social and therapeutic activities through a combination of case management & clinical support.  The program assists residents to develop skills and resources to manage mental health and emotional wellbeing in the future.

Referrals for this program are managed by Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

Youth & Wellbeing – Mental Health Outreach Service

Are you a young person aged 15-25?

Are you experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, stress, or your general wellbeing?

Youth & Wellbeing is an outreach mental health service for young people in the ACT. Our Youth Outreach Workers can come to you and meet in a place where you feel most comfortable; be it your home, your community, your school or work.

The program supports young people to develop skills to better manage your mental health and wellbeing. We can help with Information, education and coaching in areas such as stress management, coping strategies and de-escalation techniques. The program can also assist to you to develop support networks, help with school or getting back into school, or help you gain employment.
